Meet The Team

My wife Cristin and I both grew up in Southern California. We lived there for just over 30 years. After serving in youth ministry for 10 years, the Lord called us up to Northern California where I am the Lead Pastor. I went to Biola University where I received my B.A. in Biblical Studies and received my Master's from Talbot School of Theology.

My wife and I have three kids: Elijah, Lily, and Zeke. My family loves the outdoors, playing sports, or any recreational activity. I am thankful for the call to ministry that I received at the age of 17 and now many years later God has placed me to lead HCC by preaching Christ crucified and making disciples of Christ. 

After 42 years of various ministry experiences, coupled with 29 years of management experience in the FedEx Corporation, God led Lori and me to move from Redding, CA to the ministry here at Hydesville in January 2016. I have the honor at HCC to oversee all adult ministries, along with assisting in ministry with our senior pastor, Phillip. God has not only blessed me with a fantastic wife of 41+ years, but with two sons, Kenton (married to Liz) and Landon. In 2021, Lori and I were super-blessed with our first grandchild, Lily!

I love to travel, go on hikes, go on adventurous kayaking trips, and take long walks on the beach. I also have a love and passion for writing and playing music. It's a great privilege to be a part of the HCC staff team and our wonderful church family.

My husband Joel and I have been members since 2010. We have one daughter and are blessed with two granddaughters who live in Eureka. When we started searching for churches we went to 5 different ones before we came here. When we came through the door here there was a sense of welcoming (thanks Dwayne) and the members themselves greeted us and introduced themselves. That is one of the things I love about HCC the most, that we introduce ourselves to new people in our church; give out the hand of friendship and brotherhood to people who come to their Father's house.

I love to read and 'collect everything' if you ask Joel. What I do for our church family is work in the Business Office, take on some of the HR tasks, and help run our Senior programs. I am thankful to be here where we as a staff can pray and praise with everyone where ever and whenever we want and we do. 

I am the Kid's Ministry Assistant.  I started attending HCC in July 2022 an have been on staff since November 2022. I am married to my husband Curtis and we have two boys, Miller and Brooks.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and love being outdoors camping, hiking, walking, and spending time in our backyard.

The thing I love most about HCC is that it glorifies God, teaches God's Word, and is truly a community of people who love God and love people and it shows.
 

I am the Finance Assistant at Hydesville Community Church, a team member with Lori Tipple and JoAnne Oliveira, overseeing income and expense accounts, payroll, and compliance with current regulations.  My husband, Allan, and I have been attending HCC since we moved to Humboldt County in 1988. It is a joy to see the Lord 'open the eyes of our hearts' using the Bible faithfully preached in His church.

Allan and I have a lot of fun with the extended families of our three adult daughters and especially love being grandparents. Before grandkids, we were informed by each daughter that they had grand dogs, Domino and Kona, and also one grand cat.

I am the Admin Support Director. I am married, have two children, and have two grandchildren. I have worked in all aspects at Hydesville Community Church since my children were in the preschool program. I love to serve the Lord; I can't imagine my life without Jesus. In addition, I love to cook, house sit for people, work for the Humboldt County Fair, and of course, spoil my grandbabies.

I have been a Bookkeeper since October 1, 2015. In my earlier years, I was an Executive and Administrative Assistant for various entities. I've been a member of HCC since 1995. My husband and I live in Fortuna. My son and family live in the Redding, CA area and my daughter lives in Boise, ID. One of my grandsons and family lives in Kansas City, MO.

My hobby is reading historical novels and mysteries. What I love about being a part of HCC is that it is a Bible-based church and the congregation as a whole strives to follow God's Word and will. I've seen our God guide HCC through good times and tough times over and over again.

I was raised out of the area but now reside off Highway 36 with my husband, Justin and our son Bode. Justin works for Redwood Empire Roofing and Bode, 7 years old, will be headed to 2nd grade at Hydesville School. I was working for Hydesville School during COVID but was no longer needed for the position, but as God had planned, Hydesville Community Church would need a new janitor and that is where my small business began, Above All Cleaning Services.
